Samuel P. Leonard, 78, of Rose Hill, Virginia, departed this life Saturday, March 9, 2019.

He was the son of Andy Loyd Leonard and Eleanor Beatty Leonard who preceded him in death along with his sister, Virginia “May” Almond and brother, David Leonard. Left to mourn his passing are four sons (and four daughters-in-law): Andy Leonard (Christy) of Farmville, Mark Leonard (Sandra) of Crewe, Glenn Leonard (Heather) of Midlothian, and Jason Leonard (Kimberly) of Meherrin; one brother, James Leonard of Crewe and two sisters, Joyce Edmonds of Buckingham and Linda Leonard Turner of Crewe, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Heritage Baptist Church, 700 Milnwood Rd., Farmville, VA. In lieu of flowers, his sons request donations in his name be made to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
