The Buckingham Raider Teams continued their success by winning the 4th Brigade Best of the Best Raider Qualifier, held at Riverside High School in Belle, West Virginia, on March 2. The Raiders won the all-Male Division and were named runner-up for the Mixed Division.
To be eligible to compete in the Mixed Division, the Raider Team must have a least four Females out of nine on a team. The Brigade Qualifier consisted of teams from Virginia and West Virginia. The all-Male Team, led by National Champion Tyler Moore, would trophy first place in the following events; 5K run, Logistics Relay, Litter Carry, Team Physical Fitness Challenge and trophy second in Rope Bridge. Raider Commander Tyler Moore would also be named Ultimate Male Raider for the Brigade Qualifier for winning the Individual Raider Challenge with a winning time of three minutes.
The Mixed Team, led by Senior Alyssa Gentry, would trophy second in the following events; 5K run, Logistics Relay, Team Physical Fitness Challenge and Litter Relay, and place fourth in Rope Bridge. Both Teams have qualified in recent 4th Brigade Best of the Best Raider Qualifiers and will be competing at the Brigade Championships in April. Both Teams will be competing to earn the coveted trophy and be named 4th Brigades Best of the Best Raider Team. The Raiders will be going against the best Raider schools from Virginia, West Virginia, North and South Carolina, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
