The Third Thursday Book Club held its February meeting at the home of Pam Brumfield. Colonel Greg Eanes, USAF (Ret.), was the speaker. Eanes is a retired intelligence officer, a visiting lecturer at the Wilson Center, Hampden-Sydney College, and the mayor of Crewe. He is a military historian who has published over 16 books and monographs that include works on Banastre Tarleton’s 1781 raid on Southside Virginia and the War Between the States battle of Sailor’s Creek.
