Virginia’s Governor, Ralph Northam, is in both the state and national news. It is mainly due to a racist photo in his medical school yearbook. Most of us have said and done things in our past that we do not condone today. There has been little attention given, however, to his current position on today’s issues. He is more than willing to sign a bill that permits late-term abortions. This will allow fully developed or viable babies to be terminated. Most appalling is his desire to add a time period after a live birth so the mother and doctor can determine if this precious life is to be executed or spared.

How ironic that the governor is a pediatrician who takes an oath to protect the lives of babies. Could it be that 2 million dollars in campaign funds from Planned Parenthood influenced his decision? This organization is America’s largest abortion agency and receives millions of taxpayers’ money. In the past, Planned Parenthood obtained millions of dollars by the selling of aborted body parts.

The governor should resign due to the fact that he is not willing to protect the lives of his people. All Virginians, regardless of their sex, race, nationality and/or social status, should have the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The Lord said, “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones … it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Pilate tried to wash the blood of Christ’s death from his hands, but could not, just as we will not be able to wash the blood of the innocent from ours.
