On Feb. 13, Leanne Hill, local author and illustrator presented United Methodist Family Services (UMFS) Farmville office with a $600 donation toward the UMFS Scholarship Fund. The fund has provided financial aid to hundreds of children in foster care to help them continue their education after high school. It provides assistance for students attending accredited post-secondary or vocational education and training institutions.
