Saturday, Feb. 9, Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, the Department of History, Political Science & Philosophy and the Center for Southside Virginia History at Longwood University will host the 20th annual free Civil War Seminar at Jarman Auditorium on the Longwood University campus in Farmville.

This year’s program will feature an impressive line-up of speakers and will focus on various discoveries from ironclad ships in the Yazoo River and Atlantic Ocean to Clara Barton’s forgotten office in Washington, DC. No registration is required and parking is available on campus. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
