William Ferrell “Bill” Whitlock was born on Sept 24, 1956, and passed away Sept 14, 2018 in Little River, S.C. He lived in Virginia Beach, Farmville, and Charlottesville, Va., as well as Carolina Beach, N.C. and Little River, S.C.

Bill was an Eagle Scout, and graduated from Virginia Episcopal School “V.E.S.”. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Longwood College and received a Master’s degree from the University of Virginia. He taught Special Education for over 25 years.

He adored his two children, Cory and Josh, and loved coaching the various sports they participated in. He enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach and mountains with his family. Bill was an avid Redskins fan.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Gillespie Whitlock, and son, Joshua Anderson Whitlock. He is survived by his daughter, Cory Ann Whitlock of Wilmington, N.C., sister Ann Leigh Whitlock of Midlothian, Va. and father James L. Whitlock of Farmville, Va. A private family service will be held in Little River, S.C. At a later date.
