Frances Ann Daniel Pemberton, 79, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Beverly H. “Bev” Pemberton, Jr.; four daughters, Wanda M. Brown (Sammy) of Charlotte Court House, Tamela M. Walton (Steve Dowdy) of Prince George, Melissa D. McDaniel (Buddy) of Amelia and Brenda L. Council (Eddie ) of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Powers of Indiana, Ruby Gill of South Hill and Kathy Fogg (Freddie) of Kenbridge; two step-sons, Stephen M. Pemberton of Dinwiddie and Larry S. Pemberton (Nanette) of North Chesterfield; and beloved pet, Prince. Frances was predeceased by a step-daughter, Stacy J. Burris. She was retired as the owner/operator of Fran and Jamie’s Discount Center of Blackstone.

The family received friends 5:30 to 7 p.m., Oct. 12 at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus.
