Lucille Stanley Dowdy of Farmville, VA passed away on July 26, 2018.

She was born in Prince Edward County on January 17, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband Shirley C. Dowdy. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 31, at 11 a.m. in Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church with interment in the church cemetery. Family received friends following the service at the church.

The family would like to thank Brookview Lodge of The Woodland for all their help during her years there. Also thank you to Centra Hospice of Farmville.
