Sunday, June 24, Southside Community Development Alliance (SCDA), in partnership with Prince Edward County High School (PECHS), will host its inaugural Recognizing Excellence Award ceremony in recognition of students who’ve maintained honor roll status for the entire 2017-18 school year. This year’s event will be held at the Prince Edward County Middle School. The 157 students will enjoy an afternoon of speakers, entertainment, family, food and fun. “We are very excited to spearhead a celebration of recognition and achievement for our Prince Edward County High School youth who successfully maintained honor roll status for the whole year. It is even more impressive that our first annual event will have 157 high school students recognized.” said Dr. Jamaal Johnston, executive director for SCDA.
