The Fuqua School varsity softball team achieved its ultimate goal of winning the 2018 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III state championship, the program’s first state title win since 2002. The 2018 Lady Falcons, who held the No. 2 seed in the state tourney, finished the year with an overall record of 16-5.
