Edward “Ted” Madison Whitlock III, passed away on June 15, 2018 of natural causes.

He was the son of Ned Whitlock, now deceased, and Jackie Powell.

Ted was born on April 25, 1956 at Washington Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.

He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in engineering. He worked as an engineer at several companies in Westport CT and Charleston, SC, the last being Calabague Construction Company in Charleston, SC doing renovations.

Ted has a keen eye for art and was a very talented craftsman. He took great pride in being an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his mother, Jackie; sister, Janis Brown; nephew, Kyle Brown, Aunt Lorie Hill, Uncle James Whitlock, cousins Ann Leigh and Bill Whitlock and “Sweet Pea” who will be adopted by the Browns’.

Ted will be laid to rest in Farmville, VA, next to his father. A service will be held at a later date in Farmville, VA.

Memorial donations will be appreciated at Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.
