Cumberland County High School’s varsity baseball and softball teams were not able to get their respective Region 1B tournament first-round games in on Monday due to rain.

The No. 7 Dukes had their game halted against host No. 2 Central Lunenburg High School in the third inning, trailing 1-0. The game was set to resume Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The No. 5 Lady Dukes’ game against host No. 4 Riverheads High School could not even start Monday, and the contest was rescheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday.
