The Town of Farmville announced that Centra Southside Community Hospital has awarded the Farmville Community Marketplace a $500 cost sharing grant for SNAP customers. These funds will be used to match participating SNAP members’ purchases at the Marketplace dollar for dollar. “Centra is such an important and vital part of our community and this is another way of showing their commitment to our residents,” said Gerald Spates, Town Manager of the Town of Farmville. The Marketplace is opening for the 2018 season this Saturday from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and will be open every Saturday until the end of October.
