A Farmville favorite, the Gypsy Road band kicked off the music in support of Meals on Wheels at the Farmville Wine Festival Saturday.
Live music filled the air at Riverside Park in downtown Farmville Saturday as hundreds of event-goers attended the annual Farmville Wine Festival. According to Cheryl Gibson, one of the event organizers, the event saw “over 800 people again this year, netting over $17,000 to benefit Meals on Wheels.” Proceeds from the event, according to Gibson “subsidize 60 to 70 meals per day that are delivered to the elderly, disabled or homebound in Prince Edward County and the surrounding area.”
