The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing next month over a $2.8 million safety project on Route 15 roughly 8-10 miles northwest of Farmville. The meeting takes place 4-6 p.m. on April 19 at the Prince Edward County Natural Resources and Agriculture Building located at 100 Dominion Drive in Farmville.

The roundabout concept is designed to slow traffic by funneling cars into a circle with exits and entrances at various points. Traffic will still have access to the road during construction.

During the hearing, which will be held in an “open house” format, the public can give input on the project. VDOT representatives will discuss the project and answer questions.
