Thursday worship set A little country church in the Village of Palmyra is reaching out to an overlooked segment of the Central Virginia population.
“I am excited to be starting a Sunday worship service on Thursday evenings,” announced George Gorman, pastor of the church located just off U.S. Route 15.
The service will be traditional and similar to the early morning service presented on Sundays. The pastor explained how the new Thursday service will start at 6:30 p.m., giving folks a chance to get home, have something to eat, and end early enough not to interfere with bedtime for children.
“We would like to welcome first responders, medical personnel, retail personnel, and all others who often work on Sundays and miss the opportunity to worship in the community. Thursday services would also be convenient for those whose travels take them away for the weekend,” Gorman added. The new service begins April 5.
