Rita Shelton Hill, 74, of Dillwyn, VA passed away on Feb. 22, 2018. She was born on Sept. 16, 1943 to the late Blaine and Cenia Harris Shelton. She loved to spend time in her garden, and send and receive cards for all occasions. She was an active member of New Store Presbyterian Church and participated in the Women of the Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Wilson Hill Jr., her parents and a brother, L. Howard Chernault.

She is survived by her children; Lyn Hill (Denise) of Curdsville, VA, Dana H. Osborn (Vince) of Farmville, VA, four grandsons; Trevor Hill, Clay Osborn, Drew Osborn, Matt Osborn; two brothers: Fred Shelton, Terry E. Shelton and a sister, Margaret C. Gross.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. in New Store Presbyterian Church. Family received friends on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
