PASSION WEEK at White Oak Grove Baptist Church of Phenix. Services begin Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with prayer and praise service and preaching at 3 p.m. Services will be Monday-Friday. Prayer and Praise from 7-7:30 p.m. with preaching at 7:30 p.m. Different host churches each night.

MONDAY MOVIE MATINEE, noon-2 p.m. at the Farmville Library featuring “Hunchback of Notre Dame.” Bring your own snacks.

MEETING, 11 a.m. of The Piedmont Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Directors in the conference room of the Prince Edward County Natural Resources and Agricultural Building, located at 100 Dominion Drive, Farmville. The public is invited to attend.

STORYTIME, 10:30 a.m. at the Buckingham Library for caregivers and children ages 0-5. This week’s theme will be birds.

LUNCH AND LEARN, noon, at Buckingham Library. Bring a lunch and meet other community members. This week’s topic, Power of a Health Lifestyle.

LENTEN SERVICES AND LUNCH, noon at Payne Memorial United Methodist Church. Speaker, The Rev. Kyle Corbin and the topic is “With a Little Help From My Friends.” Lunch provided.

GRAMMY WINNER TO PERFORM, 7:30 p.m. Grammy winning artist Dom Flemons is set to perform at H-SC as part of the American Acoustic Music Series. This event is sponsored by the Fine Arts Department. The show is free and open to the public, in the Tiger Inn of the Brown Student Center.

EASTER SERVICES, 6:30 a.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, 2923 Bell Road, Dillwyn. Sunrise service will be followed by breakfast with worship service at 8 a.m. No Sunday School.

CELEBRATE EASTER, 6:45 a.m. at Farmville United Methodist Church, High Street. Sunrise worship will be held at West View Cemetery, followed by a free full breakfast in the church social Hall and an Easter egg Hunt between the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services. JOINT EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. hosted by The Cumberland Union Baptist Association of Central Virginia at Bright Hope Center. The Rev. Bobby Jones, Pastor of Sharon Baptist Church, and his choir will render the service.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6:30 a.m. at the Nazareth Baptist Church of Phenix with Prayer and Praise testimonials. Preaching begins at 7 a.m. with an inspiring message from Pastor Russell Lomax. Breakfast will be served. All are welcome.

EASTER SONRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. hosted by the James River Charge of the UMC at the Glenmore UMC, on Howardsville, Road. There will be a live presentation of the Resurrection of Christ in the Cemetery at the church followed by the service inside and breakfast.

ONE SERVICE, 9 a.m. at Eleven Oaks Baptist Church followed by continental brunch. EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. at The Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Dillwyn. Pastor Michael Mosley will be preaching the morning service. Breakfast will be served afterward by the Women’s Ministry. Come out as we celebrate a Risen Savior.

RESURRECTION SUNDAY WORSHIP, 10 a.m. at Tearwallet Baptist Church, Route 60, Cumberland sponsored by Pastor’s Aid Ministry. Guest speaker – the Rev. Silas Blanton of Sharon Baptist Church. Please fellowship with us.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE, 6 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red House. Music will be rendered by the Mt. Zion Male Chorus. Breakfast will be served after morning worship followed by Sunday School at 8:45 a.m.

SUNRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church. This will be the only service that day at Concord. Breakfast will be served after the service.

EASTER PROGRAM AND MORNING SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Empowerment Temple (formerly known as House of Prayer Family Worship Center COGIC) 354 Wood Row Pamplin. Come and experience God’s presence and fellowship with them on the beautiful Resurrection Day.

SUNRISE SERVICE, 7 a.m. at Cullen Baptist Church, at the cemetery across the road from the church, followed by breakfast in the church’s social hall. Church Service at 11 a.m. No Sunday School.

SUNRISE SERVICE, 6:30 a.m. at Mt. Zion 2nd Baptist Church, Green Bay. Breakfast will be served. Regular worship service at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

POTLUCK DINNER, 6:30 p.m. of the Curdsville Community Center. A program will be presented by Buckingham administrator, Rebecca Carter. Everyone is welcome. Bring your favorite covered dish or desert.

EGG HUNT AND COOK OUT, 1-3 p.m. at the Forest Baptist Church. All are welcome.

EASTER EGG HUNT, 11 a.m. sponsored by The Prince Edward Elks Lodge #269 and the Manhattan Temple #184. Pre-K to 4th grade. Refreshments will be served.

PROSPECT HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO MEET, 7:30 p.m. in the Prospect firehouse. Edwina Covington will present a Powerpoint about historic Prospect. Everyone is invited to attend and share their memories of the village.
