Tigers improve to 3-1 with 14-10 comeback victory over Catholic

Hampden-Sydney College’s men’s lacrosse team found itself in a 4-2 hole after the first quarter Wednesday, but the Tigers used a big eight-goal third quarter to defeat the Cardinals of the Catholic University of America 14- 10 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Among the individual highlights for Hampden-Sydney, Jake Brummett won 12 of 20 face-offs with seven ground balls, Hunter Brown tallied a hat trick, Ian Levin, pictured above, and Chandler Shaheen both contributed two goals and an assist, Mitch Renfrow made 12 saves, Marshall Via added three caused turnovers and three ground balls, Connor Pool and Jared Medwar each scored twice and John Burke tacked on a goal and an assist.
