The January meeting of Redbud Garden Club was held Jan. 23 at Barbara Stimpson’s home with Dottie Fahrner as co-hostess. Speaker Amber Anderson (pictured), Extension Agent for Cumberland County, provided a folder with a wonderful variety of publications about gardening practices that might be interesting for members. She went over the material and answered questions along with providing a list of useful websites. Arrangement ribbons were awarded to; “Love of My Life” (an arrangement – artificial or live – that features an item belonging to someone you love) Blue – Dottie Fahrner, Janet Higgins, April McBride, Audrey Robinson, Geraldine Sanderson, Nancy Schaeffer, Barbara Stimpson Red – Ann Ligon, Alice Metts, Gail Thompson Yellow Patsy Miessler, Sarah Schember “Picture Perfect” (a design in a clear glass container) Blue –Ann Ligon, Audrey Robinson, Geraldine Sanderson, Nancy Schaeffer, Sarah Schember, Jo Smith Red– Liz Dunn and Mary Hazlegrove.
