Martin Melvin Covington 85 passed away on Feb. 15, 2018 at his home.

He was the husband of the late Martha Ward Covington and preceded in death by his parents Martin and Lilia Covington. He is survived by two sons; Scott Covington and Stan Covington, a sister Jewel Dowler, grandchildren; Will Covington (Karli Jo), Jamie Covington, Chase Covington, Joey Covington, Sarah Eanes and great grandchild Hunter Covington.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 19, 2 p.m. at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family received friends on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home.
