Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) recently defeated archrival Randolph-Macon College in the final round of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges (VFIC) Ethics Bowl, marking the Tigers’ third consecutive title in the annual event, school officials said in a press release. Pictured, from left, junior Kole F. Donaldson, senior Samuel S. Melson, sophomore Shelby T. Hanna and freshman Bjore S. Samard presented a logical and thoughtful argument to the final case, centered around religious traditions at private colleges, edging out their competition to an undefeated victory, the release states. It also notes that H-SC has been a consistently competitive force, winning five of the past seven championships, and appearing in seven of the past nine championship rounds.
