Schools throughout the Heart of Virginia are closed Friday for a third day this week. Buckingham County Public Schools, Cumberland County Public Schools and Prince Edward County Public Schools are all closed.

Piedmont Senior Resources’ (PSR) home delivered meal routes in Amelia and Cumberland will operate Friday on a three-hour delay.

The friendship café in Cumberland for Friday is closed.

The Buckingham Branch Library and the Barbara Rose Johns Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library are opening on a delay. They will open at 11 a.m.
