The Buckingham 4-H Livestock club will hold its next meeting Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. at the Buckingham Virginia Cooperative Extension office. The program will feature information regarding maintaining record books for club members’ livestock animal projects. For previous members, please bring your last year’s record books to review together. Discussion around planning for sponsorships will also be included in the meeting, as well as details regarding timing of acquiring show animals. Election of officers will also take place. This year, the club will participate in the Dillwyn Christmas Parade on Dec. 16. A plan regarding those details will also be a point of interest for the meeting. For questions, call adult leader David Wise at (434) 983-8780.

Who doesn’t like to have their name entered into a raffle? A simple way to do it is to attend an exercise class at Central Virginia Community Health Center (CVCHC) during the month of December. At the end of the first four weeks in December, a name is drawn and a lucky recipient wins a prize from a local business for that week. Some gift items include free gym memberships, car wash supplies from NAPA, lanterns from Kenneth Bryant from Bryant’s Grocery in Buckingham, Applebee’s and other restaurant gift cards and more.
