Edna Earle Rudder Puckett

Edna Earle Rudder Puckett, 101, of Brookneal passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Brookneal. She was the wife of the late Willard Tune Puckett.
Mrs. Puckett was born in Halifax County, December 13, 1915 a daughter of the late John Tomas Rudder and Evelyn Glass Rudder. She was a member of Brookneal Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Thomas W. Puckett and wife Brenda of Waynesboro; a daughter, Gayle P. Baker of Keysville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Puckett of Amherst; seven grandchildren, Gwyn Bukovac of Corona, Calif., Chris Puckett of Salisbury, N.C., Andy Puckett of Harrisburg, Paula Garris of Jacksonville, N.C., Pam Bennett of Charlotte, N.C., David Baker of Gretna, and Daniel Baker of Keysville; nine great-grandchildren, Melanie and Melissa Bukovac, Joe and Jason Puckett, Alex and Grayson Baker, Audrey, Evelyn and Virginia Bennett. She preceded in death by a son, Ray W. Puckett; a son-in-law, Edwin B. Baker; two sisters, Irene Guthrie, and Thelma Wade; four brothers, Lyle, John, Dean and Maynard Rudder.
A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Childrey Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Stanfield.
Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
