Buckingham Raiders competed at Fishburne Military School Oct. 28, 2017. The all male Raider team defeated 10 Raider teams from different locations throughout Virginia and would place an overall first place. The Raider team would be led by Tyler Moore and the all male team would trophy in the following events: fourth in Rope Bridge with a time of one minute and 55 seconds; first in in the Physical Fitness Test. One minute on pushups, situps and 1 mile run; first in the 5 kilometer Run (3.1 miles); and second in the Tire Flip. The all female team would place an overall first in their category and would be led by Alyssa Gentry. The all female team would defeat two other Raider teams form Harrisonburg and Dinwiddie. They would trophy in the following events: first in Rope Bridge with a time of one minute and 48 seconds; first in the Physical Team Test; first in Logistics Relay; and first in the 5 kilometer Run.
