Sale set for Friday

The Prospect Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be hosting its Bi-Annual Children’s Consignment Sale Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon at the Prospect Firehouse, 45 Campbell Hill Road in Prospect. Do you have your ticket to the musical “Shrek: the Musical?” The Waterwork Players are putting this on. The dates are Oct. 20 and 27 at 8 p.m.; Oct. 21 and 28 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. Get your ticket and come on out as they always do a great job.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith, their son, Charles, and his children, Charles Jr. and Brianna and her infant daughter, Natalie all drove to Stafford on Saturday to have a special lunch with Jeff’s mother, Mrs. Delores Smith who was celebrating her birthday. They then traveled to Unionville for a brief visit with Pat’s father, Mr. John Keaveny. Family photos were taken of the five generations visiting at both of the great grandparents homes.

On Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith hosted the Faith Bible Fellowship covered dish supper at their home. Attending were Mrs. Hilde Watson, Mr. and Mrs. John Utzinger and Mr. and Mrs. Richard McClintock.

Mrs. Flora Bolt attended the United Daughter’s of the Confederacy Chapter 45 meeting on Oct. 11 at Merk’s Place for lunch followed by their regular meeting. Mrs. Bolt provided the program.

The Rev. Buddy Woodson brought the message to the members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Following the service The Rev. and Mrs. Buddy Woodson, Mrs. Flora Bolt, Mrs. Jennifer Jones, Chris Bolt, Alexa Moser, Garland Woodson, Betty Jean Bolt, Stacy Bolt, Mrs. Jennifer Bolt and children Joshua and Jacob joined Mrs. Judy Bolt at her home for lunch.

Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Scott Friend, Randy Martin, Carol Schall, Frances P. Motley of Hampton and Betty Jean Bolt.
