On Oct. 23, 2017, Robert Lee Brown, Jr., 61, departed this life at his home in Dillwyn, surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Brown, Sr. and Mary Nancy “Ellen” Brown; four brothers and two sisters.

At an early age, Robert L. was employed in the wood industry for numerous years.  He enjoyed watching Monday Night RAW, listening to music, walking to Seay Milling, and watching horror movies, westerns and football. Robert L. also loved spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Dorothy Andrews, Margurite Johnson, Lizzie Jones (Charlie), Nancy Booker (Frank), Hazel Brown and devoted sister, Sue Anderson; brothers, Willie Kidd, Michael Brown and Mark Brown; aunt, Pearl Chambers; uncle, Willie Kidd; two devoted nieces, Angela Anderson and Laurel Companion and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment in the Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery. The wake will be held on Friday, Oct. 27 from 6 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
