JROTC Raider Team wins meet

Buckingham County High School JROTC Raider Team defeated 24 Raider teams to win the annual Orange County Raider meet challenge. According to a press release, the meet was Oct. 6 at Orange County High School.
“The Raider’s placed first in the following categories: first in the Modified Army Physical Fitness Test, which includes one minute of pushups, situps and the one mile run; first in the 5K run, 3.1 miles; first in rope bridge, with a time of one minute and 13 seconds, first in tire flip and first in litter carry,” officials said in the release. “The mixed team, which has to have a least one female on a team, of nine Raiders were overall champions.”
The release cited the all female team was an overall first and defeated two other all female teams and placed an overall sixth for the meet. Dalton Stuple was top male athlete.
