The Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association (PEFYA) Debs All-Star Team was honored at the Farmville Town Council meeting Sept. 13 with medallions, certificates and cake for its outstanding performance and participation representing Farmville in the 2017 Dixie Softball Debs World Series in Alexandria, Louisiana. The team improved on its 2016 World Series run, claiming a win in the tournament this year. The girls finished the summer with a 6-2 overall record after going undefeated in the Virginia state tournament for the second straight year.
