Last Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith visited their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles at their home in Keysville.

Mrs. Jennifer Jones, Mrs. Judy Bolt and Mrs. Flora Bolt traveled to Magnolia Greens in Mosley, a division in Chesterfield, to help Chris Bolt celebrate his birthday. Also helping him celebrate were Judy’s uncle, Bob Johnson, and her sister, Helen Hartford, along with Shawn and Emily Allen. Chris grilled chicken.

On Sept. 9, Ann Norton planned a trip to the Blackstone Arts and Craft Show with lunch at the Blackstone Herb Cottage. Those going with Ann were Hilda Allen, Lois Gager, Elfrieda Kerns, Lois Johnson, Betty Meadows, Pat Smith, Margaret Stockton and Betty Sumner. Also going were Ed Norton, Jeff Smith and Richard Stockton. The men enjoyed the antique tractors and cars while the ladies enjoyed the arts and crafts. This was a fun-filled day for all.

Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Carol Schall, Gwen Paulson, of Chester, the Rev. Wayne Moore, Frances P. Motley and Betty Jean Bolt.

Family, friends and neighbors are extending their sincere sympathy to the families of Johnny Southall, Jean Bryant and Betty Jane Arnold of Roanoke.
