FARMVILLE — The Farmville Police Department, in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and Safekids.org, is holding a child safety seat check Sept. 23.

According to a press release, the event will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the municipal parking lot on South Street.

“The event is free and open to the public,” officials said in the release. “Officers will be available to check child safety seats to ensure that they are installed properly.”

The release also cited anyone who transports a child under age 8 is invited to attend.
