Johnnie H. Southall passed away at his home on Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was born on April 26, 1940 in Prince Edward County, the son of Hazel E. and Pearl. P. Southall. Mr. Southall was employed for 55 years at the Farmville Herald, Inc. and Farmville Printing.

He is survived by his wife Patsey B. Southall and his two daughters, Pamela S. Southall of Farmville, VA and Sheila Southall (Christina Steele) of Waynesboro, VA, one sister, Susan S. Frank of Houston TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Shirley E. Southall and one sister, Norma S. Duncan.

A memorial service was held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 202 Clark St., Farmville, VA 23901.
