Pugh graduates basic military training

U.S. Air Force Airman First Class Rachael D. Pugh graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San
Antonio-Lackland, in San Antonio, Texas. According to a press release, the airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. “Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force,” officials said in the release. “Pugh earned distinction as an honor graduate.”
The release cited Pugh is the daughter of Bonnie Breeden-Depasquale and Chad Depasquale and granddaughter of Patricia Dunnavant, all of Dillwyn.
“The airman is also the niece of Kelly Thomas, of Waynesboro, and Pamela and Chuck Johnson, of Nashville, North Carolina.”
The release cited Pugh graduated in 2017 from Buckingham County High School.
