Nancy Agee Lancaster, 68, of Farmville, Virginia, passed away on August 26th, 2017.

She was born in Farmville on May 25th, 1949. She graduated from Cumberland County High School, and later attended Virginia Intermont College and Greensboro College, where she received a B.A. in French.

Nancy was married to Edwin Preston Lancaster, Jr. on July 8th, 1971. They were married for forty-six years.

Nancy was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family’s business interests. She was an outstanding cook and was actively involved with Johns Memorial Episcopal Church for many years. She was on the church’s altar guild, as well as serving as the acolyte instructor.

She is survived by her husband, two children, Rives Lancaster Lucas and Edwin Preston Lancaster, III, her brothers R.L. Agee, III, Thomas Taylor Agee, her sister Ann McClarity Agee, and her grandchildren Benjamin Hansen Lucas, Alexander Michaux Lucas, and Amelie Rives Lucas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Agee, Jr. and Gladys Evans Agee.

The funeral service will be held at Johns Memorial Episcopal Church on September 9th, 2017 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Johns Memorial Episcopal Church at 400 High Street, Farmville, Va., 23901. A private interment will be held at a later date.
