Wolfbane Productions, a professional, outdoor theatre company, in association with Jamerson Building Supply and Williams Collision Center, is thrilled to announce the return of “Evil Dead: the Musical.”

“Back by popular demand, for the fifth year in a row, this hilarious parody will be performed at the Wolfbane Performing Arts Center (Wolf P.A.C.) (through)Aug. 5,” officials said in a press release. “Gates open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Grab your poncho, because the audience blood splatter zone will be bigger and bloodier than ever.”

According to the press release, based on Sam Raimi’s cult classic trilogy, and inspiration for the popular Starz hit new series “Ash vs. the Evil Dead,” the musical follows five college students as they head into the woods for spring break.

“Their plans are soon interrupted when they discover the Necronomicon, the book of the dead, and accidentally conjure the forces of evil,” officials said in the release. “And of course, hilarity — and musical numbers — ensue. “

The release cited Wolfbane’s award-winning cast is back.

“Straight from New York City, actors Jonathan Grunert and Sophie Moshofsky star as our hero ‘Ash’ and heroine ‘Annie,’ with Andy Spencer, Shrek the Musical, as ‘Scotty’ and Wolfbane favorites Logan Alexis Troyer as ‘Linda’ and Christine Yepsen as ‘Cheryl,’” officials said in the release. “Rounding out the cast is Ken Arpino — ‘Mamma Mia!,’ ‘Legally Blonde the Musical,’ ‘Hairspray’ — as ‘Ed’ and J.P. Sarro, ‘The Daily Show,’ as ‘Good Ol’ Reliable Jake.’”

According to the release, “Evil Dead: the Musical” features artistic direction by Dustin Williams and music direction by Troy Mearkle, with lighting design by Scott Chapman and stage management by Holly Phelps.

“Wolfbane is proud to partner with the landmark Babcock House for pre-show dinner specials every show night; including a four-course dinner starting at only $30 per person,” officials said in the release. “The brand new Appomattox Inn and Suites will also be offering a Wolfbane Room Rate of $89 a night all season long with proof of tickets.”
