Committee is set to meet Monday

SOUTH HILL — The Southern Virginia Go Region 3 Communications Strategy Committee will hold a meeting Monday to begin the process of the development of the region’s communications strategy.

According to a press release, the meeting will be held at the Learning Resource Center at Southside Virginia Community College at 200 Daniel Road in Keysville at 2 p.m.

“The purpose of the meeting is to begin discussion on a regional communication strategy, including content and communication channels,” officials said in the release.

“The mission of Go Virginia is to encourage collaboration among business, education and government in each region, on activities that will enhance private sector growth and opportunity, economic competitiveness and alignment of workforce development programs with the needs of the employers in the regions,” officials said in the release.

Southern Virginia Go Region 3 includes the counties of Prince Edward, Lunenburg, Buckingham, Cumberland, Charlotte, Amelia, Patrick, Henry, Pittsylvania, Halifax, Mecklenburg, Brunswick and Nottoway and the cities of Martinsville and Danville.
