Bear Creek Lake State Park, located at 22 Bear Creek Lake Road, Cumberland, will host “Bear Necessities” Thursday at 1 p.m. at the park’s beach area.

“Are you ‘bear aware?’ This program will help show you how to keep your picnic basket safe, and how to be bear aware while in black bear country,” officials said in the release.
