Wayne Edward Wood, 50, of Dillwyn, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2017 at home with his family by his side. He was born March 16, 1967 in Charlottesville, a son of Franklin Delano Wood Sr. (Betty) and Mary Jo Lang (Ben).

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Taylor Wood; son, Dylan Wayne Wood; brothers, Franklin D., Michael D. (Angie), and Bruce A. (Lisa) Wood; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.
