Two Prince Edward County men have been arrested in connection with the abduction and assault of a 23-year-old man.

According to a Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office press release, Mark E. Williams, 33, of Prospect, and Jeremiah L. Mays, 26, of Farmville, were arrested after deputies received a complaint regarding the incident on June 6. The release cited the victim was assaulted by multiple subjects in the Prospect area.

The release also noted Williams will be in Prince Edward County Circuit Court on July 18, and Mays, who was arrested June 22, will be back in court Aug. 1.
