FARMVILLE — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday at the intersection of South Main and Reed streets in Farmville.

“Officers determined the driver of a 2017 Jeep Patriot was traveling southbound on South Main Street. The driver turned left onto Reed Street, turning in front of a 2007 Chevrolet van,” said town spokeswoman Kate Pickett Eggleston. “The van struck the jeep in the passenger side door causing the jeep to overturn onto its side.  The driver of the 2017 Jeep was identified as Justina Streat, age 19, of Burkeville. Streat was transported to Centra Southside (Community) Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no injuries sustained by the driver of the van. Streat was issued a summons for fail to yield right of way before making a left turn.”
