James O. Holman, 69, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2017.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Tina Kirk; sons, Thomas Holman of Richmond, and Alex Holman of Pensacola, Florida; his mother, Caroline Holman; two grandchildren, Shaeleigh and Sophia; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He worked for the Department of Corrections for over 27 years and retired as a Sergeant. He volunteered with the Senior Citizen Police Academy for Henrico County and the Henrico County Sherriff’s Re-entry program.  He also enjoyed volunteering his time to the Soulwinning Soldiers, Bus Kids Service, Bike Ministry and outreaches at Celebration Church and Outreach Ministry. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Celebration Church and Outreach Ministry, 5501 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, Va. 23225.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Celebration Church Soulwinning Soldiers.
