Michaela Briajah Woodson, 16, of New Canton, departed this life on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Cumberland. 

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Breanne Woodson Trent and Darrell Trent; father, Gregory Duane Chapman; a brother, Bren; three sisters, Jazmine, Iceis and Daryn; grandparents, Ethel Woodson, Sandra and Buddy Wilkerson, Gill and Susie Chapman, and St. Cassell and Helen Brooks; great-grandmother, Catherine Woodson; five uncles; three aunts; one great- uncle; five great-aunts; seven devoted cousins; God sister, London and God brother, Josiah; cousin other relatives and friends. 

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cumberland where family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. 

Funeral service will be held Saturday 1 p.m. at Cumberland High School Gymnasium. The Rev. Ollie Bolden, pastor, officiating with interment in Petersville Baptist Church Cemetery.
