The monthly meeting of the Cumberland Garden club was held Feb. 28 at the Cumberland County Library. “Members enjoyed a program on the many uses of the Yucca plant,” according to a press release. “Troy Dickson shared with the group that the Yucca plant was used by Native Americans as medicine, food, soap and for weaving baskets and ropes.” Pictured are Barbara Daniels and Dickson.
