My name is Mason Ludgate and I am a local Boy Scout with Troop 6516 in Farmville and am in 10th grade at Cumberland County High School. I live close to the High Bridge and love walking on the trail and across the bridge.

I think it would be a great investment to create public campgrounds for people of the community and visitors to enjoy. I think it would be cool to make campgrounds similar to the Civil War camps to give a live feature about the town’s history. A place for residents and visitors to go to and enjoy the nature of Central Virginia would really bring this community together. I personally believe it would have a lot of support.

I hope town officials consider this idea on behalf of the community and historic downtown Farmville.
