To mention a few, Shirley Blackwell brought in a small statue of Joan of Arc and Dr. Brent Roberts brought in a 1934 book on Longwood. The society welcomes Roberts as a new member; he is the new dean of the Greenwood Library at Longwood University.

The Prospect Happy Hats met Jan. 5 for its January get together. They made plans for the coming year. Those coming together were Hilda Allen, Doris Bellofatto, Jean Covington, Elfrieda Kerns, Betty Meadows, Ann Norton, Rita Rountree, Pat Smith, Margaret Stockton, Betty Sumner, Jeannette Tarlton and Dolly Worthy.

The Kelseys had their family members home for Christmas, except the Aimesburys, in New Hampshire.
