It’s time to “Panther Up” at Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) for a successful new year in 2017. The SVCC Panthers are recruiting new students to the ranks. Registration is underway now for spring semester classes and students can register online, in person or by telephone.

Classes for the spring begin Jan. 9. Students can register now or in January, but the earlier the better, according to Student Services Director Bernadette Battle. She said financial aid, counseling and advising can all be completed before classes start.

The college will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 23-Jan. 3.
