Janice S. Harris, 73, of Dillwyn, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016.  She was a retired employee with the Prince Edward Department of Social Services.

Janice is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth A. Harris: stepson, David Harris (Greer); sister, Donna Stinson; brother, Jerry Harris (Brenda Rinard); granddaughter, Molly; four stepgrandchildren, Meghann, Bobby, Tatum and Larken; two daughters-in-law, Nancy Shumaker and Laura Shumaker; nephew, nieces, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, France Willard and Lucy Whitson Harris; her two sons, Garnett Anderson Shumaker III and Christopher Todd Shumaker, and brother, Johnny Mikel Harris.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 11 in the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
