SCOTTSVILLE — A late night crash on Route 20 just south of Scottsville claimed the life of a 36-year-old man Saturday.

According to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller, Justin S. Riggsby, of Scottsville, died at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt, she said.

The crash occurred at 11 p.m. just south of Route 747, Geller said.

“The cause of the crash remains under investigation,” she said.
